what we do
01. Client Discovery
A conversation on the phone or video chat to discover - Are we a good fit? What is the scope of your project? Can we complete this within your schedule? We will then walk you through our process, fees, and any other questions you may have along the way.
02. Consultation
Let's meet! We schedule a site review for a more thorough session to verify your scope of work. (New construction will meet in your existing home or our studio.) Then we present the initial proposal and contract tailored for your project, with a preliminary soft furnishings budget.
03. Design
The fine details presented in two phases of our design process covering space planning + millwork layouts, furniture plans, renderings, mood boards, and full material selections. PHASE I: Renovation/Construction Design: Collaboratively space planning the form + flow of the desired layout while planning the bespoke concepts of your project from millwork, to lighting, tile, and architectural details.
PHASE II: Soft Furnishing Design: Furniture planning, selecting soft furnishings from the furniture to window treatments to final styling.
04. Execution
Management of the various trades on site for all custom millwork and materials installation, as well as plumbing/electrical placement. Then all products are received and held until ready for implementation. Walkthrough. Punch list. Final. Turn the key, you're home.

My apartment posed some unique challenges given that the building is prewar and built in the 1930s. Once the demolition began, some unexpected pipes and risers were exposed that would potentially compromise the design. But MeLinda came to the rescue and was able to effectively problem-solve and collaborate with my Contractor, Architect and Building Superintendent and employ a solution that worked.
MeLinda’s interior design background also proved to be an invaluable resource when it came to advice on cabinetry style, paint colors, countertops, lighting and backsplash choices. Additionally, she was extremely well versed on current appliance models and brands and was able to help me navigate through the vast choices available. Her attention to detail is unmatched, her response to my email questions were answered immediately and thoroughly, and she absolutely went out of her way to make me feel that I was her only client!”
